Q: I changed my email account and password and am having problems syncing my devices. Also I tried to get on Amazon and when I enter the new email address it defaults to my old address. I was told I need to clear my cache. How do I do that? Thanks
I am on my OS X Yosemite IMAC and I changed my email account address and password. Once I did that I had trouble syncing my devices to read the new account passwords on IPAD and IPHONE. For example the iPhone defaults to the old iCloud email address and won't allow me to enter the new password. I also tried to log onto my Amazon account and it kept defaulting to the old email account. Amazon customer support said I need to clear my cache? How do I do this?
THanks
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Hey garyftl,
The resources below may help answer your two questions. When you change your Apple ID (which is an email address) and password, you will need to sign out of the iTunes Store, iCloud and other services, and then sign back with with the new information.
Change your Apple ID - Apple Support
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202667
In most cases, your Apple ID is also the primary email address of your Apple ID account. You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it's not already in use as an Apple ID. If your email address ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com, it's already an Apple ID.
Use these steps to reset your Apple ID:
- Sign out of iCloud, the iTunes Store, App Store, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Find My iPhone, and iMessage on each device that uses your current Apple ID for these services.
- Go to My Apple ID.
- Select Manage your Apple ID and sign in. Forgot your password?
- Select Edit next to Apple ID and Primary Email Address.
- Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID, then select Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that address.
- Open the email from Apple, then click Verify Now. Didn't receive the email?
- When the My Apple ID page opens, sign in with your new Apple ID email address and password. When you see a message that verification is complete, you can start using your updated Apple ID.
- Update the features and services that you use with Apple ID, so that each one is using your updated Apple ID.
If you need to change the Apple ID that's signed in to your iOS device, use these steps to sign out, then back in with a different Apple ID.

Safari 5.1 (OS X Lion): Empty the cache
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH5041?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
As you open webpages, Safari saves the pages on your computer in a temporary location called the “cache.” If you return to a webpage later, Safari can retrieve the webpage from the cache faster than getting it from the web, so the cache is a good time-saving device for pages you return to repeatedly.
If the content on a webpage seems outdated, you may want to empty the cache to make Safari retrieve the latest version of the page. If you think a webpage is not opening properly, emptying the cache may help.
Here's is how to empty the cache in Safari 8.0.3:
Safari 6/7 (Mavericks): Use the Safari Develop menu
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH17195
If the Develop menu isn’t in the menu bar, choose Safari > Preferences, click Advanced, then select the checkbox.
Empty Caches
Empties the webpage cache and other Safari caches.
Here is some additional information regarding Safari:
Safari 8 (Yosemite): Manage cookies and website data
