how do I change project settings in logic x

I'm working in Logic X for the first time. Is there a way to SAVE my PROJECT SETTINGS without saving a TEMPLATE? I see there's a way to IMPORT other PROJECT SETTINGS...but for the life of me, I can't figure out to save settings from a project that I'm working in without having to save an actual TEMPLATE.
