My iPad no longer air prints using my HP Officejet 6500a Plus after it was loaded withn OS 8.1.3. Prior to this I had no problem printing. iPad finds the printer, it shows it is connecting to printer and preparing to print but nothing happens and I eventually need to cancel it using printer options.

I have the same printer, and the same problem. I just checked the official AirPrint-capable printers list (as of 2/13/2015) and the 6500a is no longer on it. Guess it's time for a new printer!
Thank you for the reply. What actually worked was shutting off the printer, modem, router and iPad then doing the following in this order: 1. turning on the modem, waiting 30 sec, then 2. turning on the router, waiting 30 sec, then 3. turning on the printer, waiting 30 sec and then 4.
finally turning on the iPad. After doing this ( and in this order) , I had no problem air printing with my iPad on the HP Officejet 6500A Plus.
That's so odd...we did that same sequence before finally hitting the Internet to see if other people had the same problem as it still didn't work. Glad you've gotten it to work...maybe somehow the universe has reset and it will work for me this time?
