having issues with connecting messages from iPhone to mini mac
I need some help in getting the code for messaging on my mini mac once I have connected my iPhone.

What "code"?
If the iPhone and Mac use the same ID for Messages then the Mini will get all Messages send from Apple devices sent to the phone. if you do this

To get messages/texts from non-iOS device yo have to setup Continuity

You did not provide enough info to determine if your phone an Mac are even compatible.
