Q: Active Directory MAC users cannot change the password

Hi ,

We are running Windows Active Directory 2012 and got most of the the employees on Mac getting authenticated with it. We do have mobile account active which gives them leverage to login into mac even if they are not connected.

Problem started when user tries to change his own password in order to avoid expiry of their account. This happens only to few users and not everyone. We did tried reading various blogs but still it did not resolved. I did saw a open thread in support but there are no replies on that(Remotely change password for an Mobile Active Directory account?).Only way to get id of this is to re-bind the Mac into domain but as this is a workaround, looking someone who can point me t

Would request you guys to suggest what could be the cause of the problem. Error message we got is "The server is not available. Change your password  when the server is available". (We were able to ping the server that means its reachable at that moment.

Much appreciated.

Regards

Sam
