connect Mackie mixer and / or studio monitors?

Hello!

We've just updated our old system (formerly a G5 tower from early 2008) to a MacPro. We have some peripherals that would be great to connect but I'm thinking can't be connected now because of the turnover of connection types. Specifically, is there a way to connect a Mackie 802-VLZ3 to a MacPro? I inquired with a consultant at Apple regarding the old 26-pin connection into the back of the old Mac and that's not available any more.

Formerly, the Mackie was connected by XLRs out to the 26 pin connector into the back of the Mac. The Mackie also had XLRs out to a nice pair of studio monitors --which is REALLY what I want to keep and be able to do to mix my audio soundtracks.

The Mackie has XLR, RCA and stereo phone plug out capability.

The studio monitors have XLR and TRS in capability.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Loving the new MacPro so far! 😀

I could not find any simple Thunderbolt audio adopters. Here is a complex adopter that is really made for video:

You can get a XLR to USB for a Mac like:

I now know you have the 2013 Mac Pro

Thanks for the response lllaass Would we need two XLR to USBs? Or would I use a pigtail and only go into one of those http://www.shure.com/americas/products/accessories/microphones/microphone-proble m-solvers/x2u-xlr-to-usb-signal-adapter

?

I'd want stereo sound, obviously.

The first item http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Blackmagic%20Design/BINTSTBEXT/ has that 26 pin connection which we really don't need--that was just a way to go from XLR to the computer formerly. Unless it's needed for stereo???

Any opinions on this?
