Jul 16, 2015 2:54 PM in response to amirhasanby Bonita87,I recently switched to an iPhone 5s and am getting earaches when I talk on the phone, as well. It does not have to do with the call volume, and I've never had this problem when using any other cell phone. I had an earlier model iPhone for the past three years and it was far superior in terms of not dropping calls, not garbling, not cutting out, and, especially, not giving me an earache. It feels as if the sound is being BOOSTED into my ear in a painful, gouging way. I now hold the phone away from my ear while speaking, but the fun has gone out of talking on the phone, even with my dearest friends. There's definitely something the matter in the design of this phone. I will likely revert to my earlier iPhone, which still functions. It had far better connectivity and didn't have this metallic quality, and absolutely never gave me an earache. This 5s has a design flaw. Will try speaking on a headset and see if that improves matters.
