I have iPhone 6plus. I was sending a message and the phone appeared to be recording my words, but when I attempted to send it, the wheel stayed spinning and apparently did not record. What happened?

Sorry. I was composing a message on phone and images appeared to be recording the words, but when I said *send*, the little wheel just kept spinning and

was not recorded, as far as I know.
