Nil Object Exception

Hello, I am having an issue when trying to open an application. I am trying to open Silhouette Studio and when I do I get this message:

"An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down."

I am not sure how to handle this problem, I did trying deleting files in user/library/preferences com.apple.silhouttestudio.plist

I also tried deleting the application and re-installing it, all with no luck. I am out of ideas.
