Each of these numbers is a Unix process ID. Post the output of ps -fp <number> and substitute <number> with each of these three. If you reboot the Mac, these numbers will change and fuser should be run again to obtain the list.

Could you please send me an email address so I can send you the screen photo.

The output is long and the laptop cann't be connected to the internet.

My attempts to attach a photo to this box message were failed. (I could not reduce the photo size using my iphone!)

    I appreciate it.

Please see the following example. I get a large listing, but each 'ps -fp' returns one line, so for three processes, you should get only three lines back.

    fuser -c /Volumes/OSY-MBP13

    /Volumes/OSY-MBP13: 70c 224c 226c 228c 232c 233c 234c 235c 236c 237c 238c 239c 241c 242c 243c 244c 245c 246c 248c 250c 251c 253c 254c 256c 258c 259c 260c 265c 266c 267c 273c 276c 277c 278c 279c 282c 283c 284c 285c 286c 288c 289c 291c 292c 293c 294c 295c 298c 303c 306c 308c 310c 311c 313c 314c 315c 322c 323c 326c 332c 337c 338c 339c 340c 343c 344c 346c 347c 349c 351c 354c 356c 358c 359c 362c 363c 369c 370c 373c 374c 381c 386c 387c 394c 395c 396c 407c 410c 411c 413c 414c 415c 620c 635c 645c 651c 724c 727c 778c 809c 835c 845c 863c 864c 865c 866c 894c 932c 938c 939c 940c 1309c 1316c 1319c 1326c 1327c 1353c 1361c 1485c 1555c 1557c 1570c 1577c 1625c 1626c 1634c 1674c 1735c 1740c 1764c 1777c 1785c 1787c 1807c 1811c 1812c 1813c

Are you running Chrome from the drive that you are trying to Repair? The Time stamp is 3:06pm (assuming ET), this is 8+ hours ago. PID 224 being parent for all three, can you make post the output of

    ps -fp 224

In Disk Utility, can you eject /dev/disk0s2 = Macintosh HD? If it asks to "Eject All", say yes.

The Eject option is deactivated both under 160.04 GB Hitachi HTS543216L9SA02 (the hard drive) or Macintosh HD option. I can't eject it.
