Ipad 1st generation original youtube app acutely not working?

I like to use the original youtube app for it's "most viewed" section, which compiles top domestic and international videos and does not have an equivalent in the new device. I know apple discontinued the original youtube application for later IOS but it had always worked previously on my ipad 1. Suddenly I get the "cannot connect to youtube" warning despite resetting device, network connection etc. I have synced but have not yet attempted a full restore of the ipad. Other wifi features and safari are functioning. Google's youtube app is working.

Is this youtube finally cracking down on the original app? It doesn't display advertisements so it hurts their bottom line? Please advise

Sincerely

Jimbo

I had the same thing happen to an iPad 3 which was on iOS 6 for quite a long time after iOS 7 and then iOS 8 were released. The YouTube app simply refused to run on it anymore despite nothing changing. iOS 6 on my iPad 3 ran the app just fine...then one day, it didn't. As I mentioned, nothing had changed.

I believe the YouTube app in your case (even though it used to be compatible) is balking at seeing the old iOS on your iPad. If it continues to refuse to work (I believe in your case, it won't work), your only recourse if you want to use the YouTube app is to purchase a new iPad. It's sad, but that's what you'll be running into more and more frequently going forward to the future.

bro,

try the following step, i have done it & it work.

Link: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/135060/how-to-install-apps-which-requir e-ios-6-on-a-1st-gen-ipad

Here's the easiest way to download apps on to your iPad 1. First, on your iPad 1, go to: Settings ==> Store ==> under "Apps" make sure it says 'OFF'.

Next go onto your computer (it doesn't matter if you're using PC or Mac) and open iTunes software. Then go to the iTunes store and download all the apps you want to be on your iPad.

If the iTunes on the computer and your iPad are both signed into the same Apple ID, and the iPad is connected to internet, then go on your iPad to App Store ==> Purchased ==> click on an individual app you want to install.

Once you select install you'll get a message pop up that says:

"The current version requires iOS 6.1 or later, but you can download the last compatible version." ==> Download

So now my Youtube app is an older version & it works fine.

Expect sometimes it do ''off'' by itself, at least better than nothing. (Off i referring to is the app, not the iPad1) i just did mine 1-2 weeks ago.
