Deleted History is NOT deleted

Can someone please explain why Safari History deleted months ago is still found by Spotlight and can still be found in Safari Metadata History folder ?

Quite accidentally while searching for something with spotlight I noticed history that i know I had deleted was still found by apotlight.

So I went looking in folders and found history going back months is still there. It does not show if tou look at History in Safari but its still there in the folder.

This strikes me as quite serious...

I have bee routinely deleting history using the new cumbersome procedure for months but it's still there. Major BUG !
