macbook pro having issues connecting to wifi

Running a new MacBook pro (2014) with the latest Mavericks. I recently changed Internet providers, therefore, I now have a new router with a different name and password. I set it up on all of my devices, iPhone, iPad, iMac and MacBook pro. All set up just fine and work properly. The only issue I have is with the MacBook, when it goes to sleep and then reawakens, I see the wifi icon lit properly but when I try to open safari, or any other browser, I'm told I'm not connected to the Internet. I turn wifi off then on and it connects and work perfectly, until it falls asleep again.

Greetings StevenReines,

I understand that you are running into a Wi-Fi issue on your MacBook Pro where your connection is dropped after the computer wakes from sleep. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article and using the Wireless Diagnostics Assistant which will provide recommendations if issues are found.
