Text to Speech - Multiple Languages

Hello Community -

First things first, thanks for reading this post.

I have multiple languages installed on my Macbook Air. I use them for work all the time to read lengthy communications etc... I want to know if anyone knows how to make the Mac's text to speech functionality work so that when I highlight the text and use my shortcut to have it speak the text, it automatically recognizes the language?

Currently, I have to go into settings, dictation and speech, text to speech tab, change the system voice to the language/voice I want, then go back to the text and highlight it.

Shouldn't I simply be able to highlight text, the system recognize what language its in, then simply speak it to me? Or is there a free or paid app out there someplace I can use?

Again, thanks for reading. I hope you can help!

Regards,

Manuel D
