Mavericks Reverts to Default Color Profile

I've created a custom color profile for an external display but every time I disconnect the display, logout, or reboot, the color profile reverts to the default color profile for the display, I have to go in to System Settings -> Display and reselect the calibrate profile. Is there anyway to get the color profile to "stick"? The profile does not have any "/"s in its name, only alphanumeric characters.
