Preview- Ctrl P = Blank/No print.

Recently, Preview (and Notes) have not been able to show the image inside of the "print preview" page. I click print and it spits out a blank page. Same regardless of file formats.

But, if I use a different program to print, Photoshop, Acrobat Reader, Pages, the page shows up, prints without issue.

Any suggestions?

If you have not already done so, restart your comp.

If still not working, trash the Preview plist file:

Option key>Finder>Go>Library>Group Containers>com.Apple.Preview>Library>Preferences. Trash the com.apple.Preview.plist file.

Option key>Finder>Go>Library>Containers>com.Apple.Preview>Data>Library>Preferences. Trash the com.apple.Preview.plist file, repair permissions & restart your computer.

If Preview works correctly after doing the above, empty the trash. New plist files will be recreated.

All it takes is fresh pair of eyes. Thanks guys.

Now to figure out why. This isn't the first time it's happened. The last time (It eventually fixed itself) I was trying to print something from email, this time I was trying to print something from email as well. I'm not changing it on purpose or by accident. Could this be a Chrome thing since I tell it not to print from Chrome and to print using system dialogue instead?

So are you saying that if you are using Chrome to check your email and have a PDF attachment and select to open that in Preview instead of Chrome, this is when you see this symptom?

I notice in your image that you are also using a Preset. If this preset was originally created in a previous version of OS X and you upgraded to Yosemite, then I have seen this cause sizing (and other) issues. So if you change the preset to Default Settings, does the document preview/page size also exhibit the 0x0 inches symptom?

Anytime I use Chrome to print anything, this seems to happen. I've noticed it only when I am checking email via Chrome and then try to print it out.

I usually don't print from the web/email, I'll save it to my computer via download or screen capture, then print.

The preset I normally use is called Greyscale and it was created in a previous OS X. It's set to A4. I'll fiddle around with the default settings, etc. Thanks for the advice.
