This is incredibly frustrating. I can't reply to a group text between my mom and my sister, and I'd really like to. I even tried sending it as a "text message" not an iMessage and it still didn't work. Just says message failure.
Please tell me how to fix it. I've even restarted my phone to no avail.

I found a workaround that seems to "fix" the immediate issue. With the Messages app running and selected, I went to Messages--> Preferences-->Accounts and selected iMessage. I just unchecked the checkbox next to Enable this account it and then rechecked it and that "fixed" the problem. Another reply said you have to send a SMS text first then re-enable iMessage, but I didn't find that necessary. Hope this helps.

I already had all of the things turned on. I turned things off and on, restarted my phone, and it wasn't working. Then I just turned iMessage off and on, and then it worked. Phones are weird. Thanks.

I can reply to text messages, just not group text messages. I can receive all text messages. Whether they are in group or not. The only problem is that I can't reply to group text messages.
