How do I save the URL of a streaming audio station?

iTunes 12.1.0.50

Yosemite 10.10.2

MacBook Air (13in, Mid 2011)

In the previous version of iTunes, I've been able to 'save' the URL of streaming content in a file of the iTunes type 'MPEG Audio Stream'. I'm trying to figure out how to save a new stream, but can't find the means to do it in the current version (12.1.0.50).

iTunes has the 'Open Stream...' menu item in the 'File' menu, but there doesn't seem to be way to save the stream as it's playing to a Playlist or a File or anything.

What am I missing?

OK. I figured this out...

Once you open a stream using the 'Open Stream...' menu item, iTunes adds an entry in the My Music section, under songs. Click on this new entry and drag it to the left. The playlist directory slides out from the left side of the screen, allowing you to drop the file into a playlist. I had previously created one with the name of the stream I was trying to save (Michigan Radio http://ummedia12.miserver.it.umich.edu:8004)

Interestingly, Apple has Michigan Radio listed in their Internet Radio directory in iTunes, under the News, Talk Radio section. Unfortunately the URL of the listing is incorrect: http://ummedia12.miserver.it.umich.edu:8004/listen.pls

The bitrate is listed as 'unknown', and clicking the entry results in a loading stream message that never completes...
