I am using the Hipster Pro font... and when I use it in ppt for MAC, Evana-- the v in Evana has a swoop that extends outside and in mail it doesn't.
I'm not sure why this discrepancy exists as my logo doesn't have it and its causing me problems.
When I try and do a cut/paster for this box it changes it too.

Eva < this is pasted as well... it is Book Antigua from the [Font Family] menu in the Advanced Editor

Fonts only display right if the Font is installed on the machine displaying it - otherwise substituted - Macs do a pretty good job of guessing sometimes

Hi there, This is the screenshot with the lower case "v"... that only appears in powerpoint. Not sure why its doing this...
The lowercase v in Powerpoint is an open type stylistic variant, which you can probably get with the Typography panel or the Character viewer. I'm not sure whether Mavericks Mail can use them, but more importantly, if your correspondent doesn't have that font on their system, I would expect their mail viewer to substitute a different one anyway.

Jeff is right about the two options for inserting a fonts character - but Most Importantly - he is also right in his statement (in agreement with mine) that if the audience machine does not have the font installed they will not see "Hipster Script Pro"
Here's what ya do - make it a "PICTURE" and insert it inline, just like we do here. If this Simple Editor can display it, you should be Golden.
