Can someone help me setup dual screens using iMac and MacBook Pro? They are both currently running OS X Yosemite. iMac yosemite 10.10 and the Macbook on 10.10.1

I have imac (21.5-in, Mid 2011)
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
And MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012)
2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
Okay - that iMac is supported. Are you using a Thunderbolt cable to connect the two?
