I'm trying to help my dad who has recently lost most of his central vision. He has an iphone5 and is getting by with the tap and voice over options but I am sure there is more available that could help him? We're about to get him an iphone 6plus and I've read about KNFBreader, is there anything else that could help? Does anyone know if the apple store can help him with set up etc?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Go to settings, general, asscebillty an you'll see several things like zoom. (Warning though, zoom has been buggy with some users, me included) But don't worry, it's not horible, just buggy sometimes. It's definitely a good feature and I would recommend it.
Hi there! I hope you are having good luck with the iPhone purchase. If you go the Apple store to get a new one, they should be able to set it up. You can also direct questions to Apple's Accessibility Department. They have people who are specially trained in the use of the accessibility features of all Apple products.
