Q: i want to use my final cut express on my laptop but i no longer have the serial number as i have had it for years how do i get the serial number

i want to use my final cut express on my laptop but i no longer have the serial number as i have had it for years how do i get the serial number so i can use it on my lap top.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

    You could ask Apple to provide you with a new one assuming you still have proof of purchase  .  .  .  though don't hold out too much hope.

     

    Also if you click on the FCE icon in the menubar and select "About FCE" you should see a serial, though if your FCE is an upgrade it most likely won't work.
