Feb 12, 2015 9:27 PM in response to Pandapal361by Harris71,Hold down the Power/sleep button and the home button at the same time, for about ten seconds. The apple logo should come on. Then release both Buttons. that should do it.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If your iPod is defective, within warranty and has not been abused Apple will exchange it at no cost
