I have an ipad 4. I am just unable to use it for anything, because I have an older laptop with Windows Vista operation system, and simply I couldn't find any easy way to transfer files from my computer to my tablet. My computer can see the tablet, but there is no paste option is I open it.

What kind of files are you trying to transfer to it? You can only do so much with files from the computer to the iPad. If you describe what you are trying to do, we can tell you if it is possible.
Basicly it doesn't allow me to paste anything. I tried pdf (finally I figured out with itunes application, but it is such complicated and a real nightmare), avi files as well. The paste button is simply not living. ("Beillesztés" in my language")
There is no paste button. Right now you are looking at the DCIM folder, which is the Camera Roll. You cannot paste anything into the Camera Roll. You are correct, you can use iTunes for .pdf files, but that is about it. The iPad is not designed to be like a flash drive. You do not have any access to the file structure on the iPad.

I am sad to hear that. But for example, if I have a movie on my computer, can't I transfer it to my ipad and watch it on it?

Yes, through iTunes. You cannot move it directly from the computer to the iPad. iTunes handles things you want to put on the iPad, music, apps, photos, movies. It is done via the sync process.
Thank you, now it is clear. Anyway unfortunately this iTune software can not handle avi files, but I will try to download a virus-free and reliable converter.
