Q: Personal Hotspot not working on Wifi but works with USB (iOS 8.1.3)

The Personal Hotspot on my iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 8.1.3) works with my MacBook (OSX 10.10.1) over USB, but the browsing is not working over Wifi.

I have tried the following:

Restart my phone & mac
Reset network settings on my phone
Forget password of my hotspot on my Mac
Change name of my phone from Settings>Genral>About

This is really frustrating.

Personal Hotspot gets connected over Wifi but the browsing is not working, but when I switch of Wifi on my Mac and connect the phone via USB the hotspot works perfectly!

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your iPhone. If you are having issues successfully using your Personal Hotspot via WiFi (can connect to hotspot but not access the internet), you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:
