Mac mini-wifi to wifi hotspot

I have my mac mini on Wifi to have internet, but I want it to act as a router (almost like a repeater) to spread the wifi further throughout the house. I do not plan on having it hardwired. With my Acer laptop there is an Intel app called My Wifi technology which allows lap top to be on the homes wifi but then makes the laptop its own wifi hotspot. it boosts the signal because it is more powerful than the wireless router. Can the mac mini do this or do it have to be hardwired in order to become a wifi hotspot?

Only if you use Ethernet to the Mac Mini. Then you can then share that (Ethernet) connection via wifi.

If you connect another wifi adopter like an USB one you can likely do that. Apple does not support using the same adopter for both source and sharing of an interent connection
