how do I transfer my music from my mac laptop to my IPhone 6

IPhone=IOS8.1.3

Transferring music from Itunes on laptop to new IPhone

Plugged into my laptop and followed online instructions at least 3 times. Did not work.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.1.3

By using iTunes to sync your music to the phone. Your music must be imported into iTunes.
