ICC Profiles: How do I install?

I'm having the same issue. Help!

The Library folders are hidden in Yosemite.

Users Library is hidden by default, since OS X 10.7 Lion.

however in finder if you click on the Go menu and press on the alt/option key, you will find it appears, click and you will get access to it.

to have this visible permanently, click on Go scroll down to Home, click. then go to View/ Show View Options and click the button 'show

library folder'

Profiles can also be found in Macintosh HD/Library/Colorsync, and in Macintosh HD/System/Library/Colorsync.

Yes, the library is hidden, but easy to get to. The problem seems to be that Yosemite is preventing Photoshop from seeing the profile that has been added to the folder. Here is a picture showing that the new profile has indeed been added.

Rather than using the hidden Library folder in your user account, put the profiles in the root /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder. Then all user accounts on that Mac will have access to one set of profiles. No need to copy the same files to each individual user account. Drag and drop them into the folder, and then enter your admin password to allow the copy to complete.

I can get access to profiles stored in this location. Are you closing photoshop /printer software and then reopening after adding the new profiles?

Indeed I am. I've been talking with some industry professionals, and it seems this problem effects about 1 out of every 1000 users. So far they have not found a work around. I even re-downloaded my operating system. It's a frustrating matter.
