Q: Yosemite 10.10.2 update & Logic Pro X weirdness

Hello savvy Logic users,

Since updating to 10.10.2 - Yosemite AND downloading Logic "Additional Content" --- odd changes have occurred with Logic.

1) Now, when I bounce, the "spinning pizza" appears. It bounces fine though. Is that now the norm?

2) Used to be, when I'd click on midi note in piano roll, the event list would open. But no longer.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thank you

LOGIC PRO X, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), 3.5GHz, Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 M

    Hello Lori Rae,

It sounds like you updated your computer, and downloaded the additional content for Logic Pro X and are seeing some unexpected behavior now. The troubleshooting I would recommend using is from the following article. It starts pretty basic, but follow it through to the end and you should get a resolution:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Take care,

    Sterling

    Lori,

I'm pretty sure your #2 is a known bug.

On #1, are you bouncing real-time or offline?

    What did you upgrade from?

    Hello Sterling,

    Thank you for replying.

I've looked over the "trouble-shooting" list. It appears all is well with #1-9.

However, #10: Delete User preferences, I could not locate: com.apple.logic10.plist anywhere...

And I have yet to do #11 - "re-install Logic."

Is that what you suggest I try?

    Thank you, L

    Hello Pancenter,

    Thank you for the reply.

I am bouncing in "real time."

    What did I upgrade from?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand the question...

    Upgrade Logic or the iOS?

    • If Logic, I upgraded from the previous version of Logic to the current version.
    • If MAC, I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Yosemite.

But ... that was a while ago.

And Logic had been working great until:

    1) I did the latest OSX Update, Jan. 30th.

                      And/or
Logic Pro X update Jan. 25th.

    Thank you,

    L

Thanks for the update! I was thinking that it may be possible that you are looking in the System Library folder rather than the User library folder.

Use these steps from the following article to ensure you are in the correct location:

    OS X Yosemite: Library folder

The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it for some reason, click the desktop to make sure you’re in the Finder, hold down the Option key, then choose Go > Library.
