Does Final Cut Pro X actually cost $299.99?

My account was very low if not $0.00 and I bought $350.00 worth of money on the App Store to purchase Final Cut Pro X ($299.99) and Motion ($49.99). However, after purchasing Final Cut Pro, I was only left with about $31 instead of about $50 like I expected. I feel mislead because it seems as if there's an unseen tax on FCPX that's not listed. If that's the case, it would be the first time I've purchased something from Apple that didn't cost the price advertised 😠
