I recently purchased Logic Pro X and installed into my new MacBook Pro running Yosemite. I want to use the "Replace or Double Drum Track" function, beginning with my audio kick drum track recorded from live drums. I have enabled all advanced functions in Preferences, but the function still shows up grey and I cannot click on it. I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks!
Upon further investigation, I have discovered that this function works when I record a new audio track. My drum tracks for this particular project was recorded on an older Mac and older version of Logic Pro, and apparently audio files like this do not trigger this function.
It's actually because the regions in the first example are all take folders.
I have the same problem but re-recording the kick drum track isn't an option. My kick drum part is composed from multiple takes, what do I need to do to enable the replace/double option?
Fixed it myself by exporting the composite kick part as a separate audio track and then importing that, now having fun with kick drum doubling...
