Q: automatic login greyed out

Just did a clean install of Yosemite.  In sys Prefs users and groups and also in Sys prefs Security & Privacy Disable Automatic Login is checked and greyed out and unlocking the padlock, checking and unchecking everything I can see won't change it. 

Any ideas or refs?  I've found the same problem but prior to Yosemite.
