iTunes voucher & family sharing group

hi my child is 11 and in my family sharing group. she received an iTUNES voucher for christmas and has redeemed it on her own id but she cannot use it?



can you advise us how to get around this problem?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.3

If she redeemed the card on her account, and it correctly reflects her credit balance, then she should be able to buy items with it. Here is the explanation of how it is supposed to work:

Family purchases and payments

After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card.


Try again and see if it works that way. If not, contact Customer Service for assistance.
