itunes error 2

Hello,

Recently I downloaded itunes. After a week or so I tried to install a new update. But after that itunes didn't work anymore, the error message I got told me to reinstall itunes. So I did, following the instructions on apple support. I downloaded it again but it won't work. I repeated the progress endlessly: deleting, installing. but always when I complete the ''install wizard'' I get an error 2.

The error says:

''Apple Application Support was not found.

Apple Application Support is required to run Ituneshelper. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.

Error 2''

I tried anything i could find on the internet. But without succes. I have a windows 8 Laptop, 64 bit. Does anyone else have the same problem, and does someone know how to fix it? I am beginning to get really frustrated.. If you have any clue on how to fix this then please let me know.

Thank you very much 🙂

Hey Nienke.nr1,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. When you uninstalled iTunes, did you also remove all of the related components as well? Check out this resource for more information:

Additionally, you can refer to the following resource for help with iTunes installation issues:

Thanks,

Matt M.
