    The versions that will run on your OS X 10.6.8 MacBook Pro were discontinued over 3 years ago, but you can still find new and used copies on eBay and other online reseller sites   They are:

     

    • Final Cut Express 4
    • Final Cut Studio 3 - includes Final Cut Pro 7  (although personally I wouldn't recommend FCStudio/FCP7 without knowing the exact specs of your MBP)

     

    Both apps were replaced in the summer of 2011 by Final Cut Pro X - when FCPX was originally released it would run on OS X 10.6.8 but today it requires Mavericks 10.9.2 or higher.
