Feb 14, 2015 3:27 PM in response to pbujak01by Lyssa,A generic driver is likely to cause issues - you will probably find that some items you print don't come out correctly.
If possible, return the printer and get one that is compatible with OS X. That will be the best thing for you to do in the long run.
Follow the steps here as best you can and see if you can get the printer installed: Mac Basics: Printing in OS X - Apple Support

Feb 14, 2015 3:44 PM in response to Lyssaby pbujak01,Thanks Lyssa. I wish I could take it back but I bought it online and it will cost me just as much to ship it back compared to what I paid for it.

Feb 14, 2015 3:46 PM in response to pbujak01by Lyssa,Might be worth trying to sell it to someone, too - even if you take a loss, it'll at least save you the headache of dealing with it.
Try installing it & print a few things and see what happens. Worst case scenario is the printer won't be seen by the computer at all.
