It says somewhere on the functions that messages are stored for a minimum of a month up to forever
where are they stored, can i view them, can I delete them
Messages are stored in the Messages app on the phone. The ability to determine storage length is in Settings>Messages>Message History. You have the ability to delete messages, you can do it from the Edit button, or by swiping a message in the list to the left and select delete.
