Logic Remote cannot find my computer

I'm on Mavericks 10.9.5 and this is the first time I've tried to use the remote since I downloaded Logic 10.1 . I have spent a couple of hours on this, following the instructions from 'the Art of Noise' to another person with this problem.Absolutely nothing is happening. My iPad is 7.1, and I haven't yet upgraded to Yosemite.

Any suggestions anyone?

Hello hilaryfromsydney,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I imagine you might have already attempted these steps, since you have dedicated so much time to troubleshooting this issue. However, I wanted to provide you with the following resource just in case:

Logic Remote: May not connect to Logic Pro X with some Firewall settings - Apple Support

Please also note the information in the “Learn more” section regarding Touch OS X devices.

Cheers,
