why does my itunes stop working?

I have the latest version. It works up until I click to add a podcast episode to my ipod. Every time it shuts down right after clicking a podcast in the sync field. I have tried resetting and have updated Windows.

iPod nano (3rd generation), Windows 7

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like when you try to sync the iPod iTunes freezes. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
