Mail does not open due to permissions issue. Also apps in store will not download unknown error.

I received a popup when saying not authorization exists for this action when trying to modify passwords in keychain. I followed a forum that suggested I change admin to read and write and click apply to enclosed items. After this was done my keychain login disappeared and i had to follow a different forum to recover it. Now I am getting a Firefox is open only one copy at a time can be open error and mail prompt that says mail can't be opened because you don't have the necessary permissions. Also, I cannot download in App store it gives me we cannot complete your purchase unknown error for everything in store.

Permission Issues - Troubleshooting

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this, boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.
