Bose OE Sound Link Bluetooth Headphones looses connection.

I recently bought these head phones, they connect fine with the iPad air, they will not stay connected with the (late 2012) Mac Mini running Yosemite. what is really strange to me is that when I first got them they worked really good on Yosemite. But recently it wont stay connected with the Mini but still works good with the iPad air. It will seemingly pair with the Mac but not stay connected. The Bluetooth indicator in the menu bar shows it connected but the preferences pane shows it disconnected. I tried switches all auto settings to the headphones but still not connecting. I've went through the set up process a few times and same results.

Try as a test disconnect all USB accessories except KB and mouse if used. Sometimes USB accessories can cause interference

Didn't seem to make a difference. I was hopeful that could have been the cause I did recently start using a MMO Mouse to use with Ai.

I found a way to make it work. I have to turn the iPad off then the BT headphone will connect to the Mac. Apparently you can connect to the Mac first then the iPad but if you connect with the iPad first then the Mac, it will not connect.
