Continuous loss of wi-fi connection

In the past couple of days I've had a continuous loss of wi-fi connection on my MacBook Air. When I try to reconnect it wouldn't connect again.

To get it reconnected I have to go through a tedious process of turning airport off, go to system preferences - network and delete the connection, go to utilities - keychain and remove the connection from there, reboot, go to system preferences - network and reconnect to the wi-fi. And it doesn't always work at the first attempt and it's not a permanent fix, I already had this issue 3 times today.

Any idea why this has happened suddenly without having made any update recently and what I could do to permanently resolve it please?
