If it really bothers you, File menu > Duplicate will make a copy of the document without its version history, so if you Duplicate and then delete the original, you can get rid of the versions.
You must not understand my question. In pages and numbers, if I want to revert to a previous document, many, many, many, many previous versions are shown. In pages and numbers, I can only delete one version at a time. These versions must be stored as files somewhere. If I knew where the files were, I could drag them to the trash. Can you tell me where they are?
Drag them to the trash.
Just make sure you are getting rid of the right documents because you don't seem to know what application that you are using.

why do you say I'm not sure which application I am using?
The versions are all part of the same file. There is nothing to get rid of. You just use the last version you want to use and that is what is the file.
