Q: ITunes for Windows - content requiring Quicktime won't play

I have encountered this same problem, same error message for content within ITunes University. I have a 64 bit PC with Windows 8. I deleted ITunes entirely and tried installing an earlier ITunes version. I was thwarted by ITunes from doing so because I have a 64 bit PC and was redirected to the most recent version 12.1  I also called Apple Support. No luck with that either. Does anyone know how to overcome this error?

It seems odd because the content I'm trying to access is already in ITunes, I'm trying to play it within ITunes, and ITunes won't let me play it due to it requiring Quicktime which the error message states is not supported by the 12.1 version of ITunes. However, ITunes won't let me download an older version of ITunes because my PC is 64 bit. Sigh...

Thanks for reading,

Eric
