Bluetooth speaker recognised as a keyboard by yosemite - any way to manually set up bluetooth device as a speaker?
MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2008), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
tried resetting PRAM didn't work

I suggest you contact the speaker manufacturer. It appears there is something in that device that tells BT it is a KB.

hi barry, thank you for your reply. the speaker works fine when connected with my phone. so i'm looking for way to set it up manually on my mac as a speaker in order for it to work with my mac as well
I suggested the mfgr. contact as your Mac and phone are operating on separate operating system platforms ( iOS and OS X).

P.S. I do not know of any "manual" way to achieve the connection.
