Q: Can compressor 4 import m2t files?

I have a JVC HD GY201e, and I am recording the footage to digital recorder. The files format for the recorded footage is .m2t - FCPX can't import these files, but I read that m2t files are listed on the manual for Compressor 4. However I can't figure out if I can import the files and convert them to an FCPX file friendly format with Compressor 4.

I am currently using a program called Media Converter - which is slow when trying to convert the files in to higher quality formats. I am hoping to add Compressor to my tools, but I don't want to purchase something I will get limited use out of.

Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.
