Calender crashes when icloud is activated

Hi all,

first off all, sorry for my english, i am not a native speaker.

I switched from a white macbook (2008 with 10.7.5 Lion) to a macbook pro (mid 2009 with Yosemite).

If I try to start the calender it crashes immediately. But if I turn off icloud calender it works.

I have no problems with the icloud calender at my old macbook, iPhone 5, iPad 3 or at icloud.com. The only problem is the macbook pro when the calender option is on at icloud preferences.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Mid2009

Hi Nieken,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

There doesn't appear to be any problem with your English. I understand that when you start Calendar on your MBPro with Yosemite, it crashes if iCloud Calendar is turned on. I would suggest taking a look at the following article, especially the section "Troubleshooting on OS X". The "Troubleshooting at iCloud.com" section could also provide assistance.

Nieken,

Backup your iCloud Calendars, and disconnect from the internet.

Quit Calendar, then paste this text ~/Library into the Finder Menu>Go>Go to Folder...window and select "Go." This will open the Users Library Folder.

Then open the Calendars Folder which is in that Library Folder, and move any any files with "Cache" listed in the name field to your Desktop.

Next open the Preferences Folder in that same Library Folder and move the com.apple.iCal.plist file to the Desktop.

Log out/in or restart and open Calendar.
