Q: home sharing no "more" option

I am trying to allow my daughter access to my iTunes library.  I have set up everything according to directions, but there is no "more" to tap.

The More button will appear in the Music app. She must be signed I to your Apple ID on her device in order to share your iTunes library. Sometimes, quitting iTunes and restarting all devices can fix things. You can have a look at this as well.

I've done all of the suggested things prior to now. Could it be a cloud issue?  I am running WIN8 64-bit and am the "organizer".  The iPad is running 8.1.3 or whatever is current.  I ran into the same home sharing problem with my iPhone 5.  In that case there is a "more" but no home icon or option to get on home sharing.  Another potential issue is that I use iMatch on my computer and one other device (an old iPhone 4 that is doing a fantastic job as a dedicated streaming device).

For the problem on the phone. If you are running iOS 8, go to Settings>Music and swipe all the way to the bottom of the screen to sign into Home Sharing. That is how you enable home sharing by signing into your Apple ID in that setting.

You will only see the More button in the Music App on the iPad, if everything was setup successfully. Otherwise, there will be no More button to view. If you are using Family Sharing or iTunes Match, I don't think that has any bearing on this issue since the library that you want to share is your iTunes music library. I could be wrong, because I don't use Family Sharing or iTunes Match. I am basing my remarks on the fact that I do not see them specified as being an issue in tnat support article. In fact the one screenshot shows iTunes Match as being turned on.

DId you look through the support article?

Not to be mean about it, but I have done everything that I was told in ALL of the support that I have worked through. On the iPhone I tap and push and nothing happens. It is red and the albums, genres, artists, and songs are black.  Is that a clue?  I thought Apple stuff was supposed to be easy and intuitive.  This exercise has been very time consuming and has yielded no results.

You're not being mean. I just want to be certain that we are on the same page. Unfortunately, I can't test this here at work since I already have all 5 computers authorized for iTunes. I will have to wait until get home.

I Am going to ask for help from some higher level users, so p,ease hang in there and I will try to get you help as quickly as I can.

Thanks to the nth for your help.

To recap and I will try it again...

I will shut off the entire network and restart everything.  Starting with the host or organizer's computer.  The one I am typing on right now.  Then the iPad. Then the modem.  I have already entered my user ID and password in the iPad under Home Sharing, my computer and iPhone 5.  I'll Even power off the iPhone.

You're quite welcome. I put out a call for help and it was also suggested that you might want to post in the Home Sharing section of the ASC. Frankly, that never occurred to me and shame on me for that.

IF I get a response for my plea for help, we will be able to track you down if you move to the Home Sharing site.

Well, I feel sheepish.  This last go round of the shut down - restart network devices and modem protocol worked and I can access the files on my library.

    Thanks for your help!!!!!
