Hi, I can't seem to start up my iMac. This happened after I plugged in a seagate 4tb hard disk to set up a back up. The computers attempts to boot up and shuts down half way through the process. Can you help please?

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are seeing. Thanks Brenden. I've tried a safe start. It shuts down halfway through. I also changed the fuse on the cord assuming it might be a power problem- but hasn't helped!
