Feb 16, 2015 7:52 PM in response to Lotus Guyby Loner T,Is the USB option still available? If you insert the DVD, is it readable on your Mac? Can the you open the DVD and see files in it?
From Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems - Apple Support, you can only install W7 32-bit on a 20" early 2009 iMac. Is your DVD a 32-bit Installer? If it is a combined 32-bit/64-bit media, it will cause problems.

Feb 16, 2015 8:25 PM in response to Lotus Guyby Loner T,On Macs with built-in Optical drives, you need two storage devices, the DVD media, which has the Windows installer, and a USB flash drive which will be erased by BCA and the 'Download software...' checkbox part will download BC drivers from Apple servers. Please ensure that you have appropriate media - W7 32-bit.
You also need to take a look at this Boot Camp: iMac displays a black screen during installation of Windows 7 - Apple Support even though it is not for the same model as the one you have.

Feb 16, 2015 8:44 PM in response to Loner Tby Lotus Guy,What does this mean
- Drag "Drivers" and "AutoUnattend.xml" from the iMac_Late_2009_2010_ Win7_Drivers folder, which was expanded in step 2, to the icon of the USB or SD card device to copy the files to it. Do not copy them to any subfolders.
"AutoUnattend.xml" is this suppose to be in the DVD or is this being downloaded when I check the latest widows download?

Feb 17, 2015 5:11 AM in response to Lotus Guyby Loner T,That link should be tried if/when there is a black screen issue. Your BCA issue needs to be addressed first.
1. On the Windows DVD, in the sources directory, there is a file called ei.cfg. Can you post its contents?
2. Did the BCA work properly before the Info.plist was modified? What other files were modified?

The BCA did not change the Info.plist.bak file.
